DOWNEY – Downey's first Oktoberfest festival will take place Saturday, Sept. 16, from 3-9 pm in Downtown Downey. Admission to the all-ages, outdoor festival is free. Attractions include 70-plus vendors, food trucks, an outdoor beer garden, music, entertainment, activities for all ages, and more. 'For years residents have been clamoring for an Oktoberfest celebration in Downey and we're excited to finally host one,' said Jorge Villa, board chair of the Downtown Downey Improvement Association. The festival will take place on Downey Avenue, between 2nd and 4th streets.
